About the Role

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Publisher to launch and lead a new portfolio of materials journals. In this role, you will:

• Set and execute portfolio strategy aligned with organisational goals

• Build strong relationships with editors and authors

• Monitor performance and drive improvements

• Manage and mentor a small publishing team

You will be empowered to drive growth, quality, and impact, while shaping the future of scholarly publishing.

About You

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for scientific publishing. You should have:

• A strong track record in launching and developing journals in materials science or a closely related field

• A well-established network of contacts in the academic publishing community

• Deep knowledge of the scholarly landscape, including trends in open research

• Proven leadership experience, including team management

• Strong relationship-building skills with editors, authors, and colleagues
