About the Role
Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Publisher to launch and lead a new portfolio of materials journals. In this role, you will:

Set and execute portfolio strategy aligned with organisational goals

Build strong relationships with editors and authors
-
Monitor performance and drive improvements
-
Manage and mentor a small publishing team
You will be empowered to drive growth, quality, and impact, while shaping the future of scholarly publishing.
About You
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for scientific publishing. You should have:

A strong track record in launching and developing journals in materials science or a closely related field

A well-established network of contacts in the academic publishing community
-
Deep knowledge of the scholarly landscape, including trends in open research
-
Proven leadership experience, including team management
-
Strong relationship-building skills with editors, authors, and colleagues
