Role Overview: Senior Change Manager (Finance Transformation)

As a Senior Change Manager, you will be instrumental in managing a diverse portfolio of change initiatives spanning financial systems, business processes, and organisational development.

You will bridge strategy with execution—driving stakeholder alignment, leading transformation delivery, and embedding continuous improvement practices across our global finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex finance transformation projects aligned with the Finance 2027 vision.
  • Lead the programme workbook, ensuring all project milestones, deliverables, and communications are tracked and executed.
  • Coordinate project timelines, resource allocations, and governance across multiple financial and operational workstreams.
  • Translate business needs into operational solutions through detailed requirements gathering and data analysis.
  • Support the implementation of finance systems, ensuring that change is adopted, integrated, and sustained.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify pain points and deliver targeted improvement strategies.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and communications that promote organisational readiness.
  • Monitor project outcomes against KPIs, track benefits realisation, and adjust initiatives accordingly.
  • Provide senior-level updates and recommendations to executive stakeholders and governance boards.

Candidate Profile: What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a professional who is not only methodical and organised but also capable of leading transformation with empathy, clarity, and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in change management, finance transformation, or business process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within large, matrixed organisations.
  • Experience within the higher education, non-profit, or public sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI.

Core Competencies

  • Deep understanding of finance operations, systems (e.g., ERP), and transformation frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills—written and verbal.
  • High emotional intelligence and active listening skills to drive stakeholder alignment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in change impact analysis, organisational readiness assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
