About the Role
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is looking for a Project Manager (Cladding Remediation) to lead and deliver its Local Remediation Acceleration Plan. This government-backed initiative aims to accelerate the remediation of buildings with unsafe cladding across the city region.
This crucial role requires close collaboration with local partners—including fire and rescue services, local authorities, and contractors—to ensure cladding remediation projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and comply with the latest building safety legislation and best practices.
As a high-calibre Project Manager, you will:

Support project delivery on time, within budget, and to the required standards
-
Work within the newly formed Remediation Acceleration Unit (RAU)

Support local partners to:
-
Drive and monitor remediation progress
-
Coordinate intervention activities
-
Receive, record, and share data
-
Assure the safety of buildings undergoing remediation
-
Identify additional buildings needing remediation beyond government schemes
-
Take enforcement action if voluntary remediation does not progress adequately

The role is primarily based at LCRCA’s Mann Island office in Liverpool, with regular contact at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service in Bootle, Liverpool, and offers hybrid or remote working flexibility.
This is a 24-month fixed-term position with potential for extension.
About You
Essential skills and knowledge include:

Degree or professional/project management qualifications
-
Proven experience managing complex, high-value projects (£20M+) and budgets
-
Knowledge of building safety landscape and/or cladding remediation projects
-
Experience managing grant funding agreements and associated reporting
-
Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools
-
Strong track record in building collaborative stakeholder relationships, organising interdisciplinary meetings, and working with supply chains and local government officials/Civil Servants
You should provide clear examples in your application demonstrating how you meet the key criteria, including:
