Job Overview
The University of Leeds is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Security Compliance Manager to join its Facilities Directorate Security team. This hybrid role is based on campus, with flexibility and remote working options available.
As Security Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Assessing potential security threats or breaches.

Creating contingency risk assessment plans.

Supporting in-house security for events involving students, staff, and guests.

Security Services at the University offers wide-ranging support to students and is undergoing a development programme aimed at enhancing:

Security infrastructure and assets.

Operational systems and processes aligned with university strategies.
You will play a vital role in:

Planning future events.

Conducting building security risk assessments.
-
Collaborating with the Head of Service and Facilities Management to manage security risks.
Key Responsibilities

Advise on security plans and risk assessments for Faculty/School buildings and campus events (including spontaneous student events and conferences).

Manage risks and provide detailed, articulate reports on security planning.

Review and evaluate systems to ensure their continued effectiveness and alignment with intended use.

Identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, and system maintenance.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you should have:

Experience managing security events and complex projects.
-
Strong project management skills, including risk and change management.
-
An understanding of the Higher Education (HE) environment and the ability to challenge traditional approaches.
