Practice Plus Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Administrator to join the healthcare team at HMP Winchester, a category B male remand prison located in Winchester City Centre. The site benefits from excellent transport links and free onsite parking.

This role involves working as part of a close-knit team, ensuring patients receive high-quality care while supporting the healthcare team behind the scenes. Reporting to the Business Manager, you’ll play a key part in the healthcare journey.

Working hours:
Tuesday and Wednesday, either 08:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 18:00, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide excellent administrative support to the healthcare team onsite

• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare colleagues, and other professionals via phone, face-to-face, and email

• Attend to patients on the wings by chasing paperwork and answering general enquiries

• Work on the healthcare system (SystmOne), including inputting mental health referrals, maintaining accurate records, and running reports

• Attend meetings and take minutes as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Previous administrative experience, preferably in healthcare or mental health settings

• Experience with healthcare systems such as SystmOne is advantageous

• Skilled at liaising with internal and external stakeholders

• Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Confident in data handling, database maintenance, and report generation

• Motivated to develop healthcare skills in a challenging, fast-paced environment
